(SP) – The Golden State Warriors have announced that Steph Curry’s adorable, 5-year old daughter Riley will call the shots for the team in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
“My back is hurting a little bit and I think this is a fun way to get the families involved. This team is like a family,” said Warriors head coach Steve Kerr. “And, as I think we all know, this team doesn’t really need a coach. You roll out KD, Steph, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green and then just let nature take it’s course. I’m sure Riley will do great.”
The Warriors made a similar move for Game 3 of the series when they had one lucky fan sitting in Section 111, Row C, Seat 13 coach the game, which the Warriors won late to take a 3-0 lead in the series.
“We’re just going to keep spreading the job around until we win,” said Durant. “It will almost definitely happen in Game 4. But if we somehow lose, which we won’t, I’ve got dibs on my mom coaching Game 5.”
Steph Curry says he is excited to be coached by his daughter.
“In a lot of ways, It will be a lot like having Steve leading us,” he said. “They’re both kind of small and cute and won’t have any actual impact on the game.”
