OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City point guard Russell Westbrook gave an important parting reminder today to the man he hired to kill former teammate Kevin Durant, reiterating that Durant’s death must look like a complete accident that is in no way linked to the current Thunder star.
“I hired you because you said you were discreet,” Westbrook reportedly told the man he found after doing months of research on the dark web. “This better not be traced back to me. The whole point is that he dies for betraying me and then I achieve basketball immortality without him. Don’t mess it up. I’m not going to jail over that asshole. I’m already stuck in Oklahoma City by myself.”
Westbrook requested to not know when, where or how Durant’s life will be snuffed out to help him maintain innocence in the event, but said he preferred the “accident” occur after the Thunder play the Golden State Warriors on February 11th at home because he “wants to dunk over his spindly body one more time and look into his eyes and know it will be one of his last memories.”
A source with knowledge of the conversations said any media outlets who share Westbrook’s plans or alert Durant of what’s coming risk repercussions from the star point guard.
“Will it be the last article you ever print?” said the source. “I think you can figure that one out.”
