(SP) – While the 2017 NBA Finals is still underway, Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James is reportedly already working on tweaks to the roster for next season with an eye towards one-upping the stacked Golden State Warriors roster.

“LeBron has had initial conversations with both Iron Man and Captain America,” confirmed a source close to the star. “He’s also reached out to Batman and Superman, but currently believes the Marvel guys are the way to go.”

The acquisitions would be the latest escalation of an arms race between the Cavaliers and Warriors that saw Golden State get the upper-hand in the rivalry this year by adding Kevin Durant.

“I’m not giving up this fight just yet,” James said of the 2017 Finals. “But I’m always looking to make my squad better and you have to consider all available options if you want to win.”

James laughed when a reporter asked him if he was aware that Iron Man and Captain America are “not real.”

“You believe what you want to believe,” James said. “People also used to think there couldn’t be a 7-footer who can handle the ball like a point guard and shoot threes, but now we have Kevin Durant. Just wait until you see my team next year and then comment on it. Trust me.”
