(SP) – A short video of a man making a dunk shot in a professional basketball game was posted on several social media sites this evening. The clip of the slam was posted hundreds of times via numerous accounts on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Most text accompanying the videos expressed amazement at the jam.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver said the attention the dunk shot has generated could be great for the league and the sport as a whole.
“Many people have really responded to the footage of the ball being thrown downwards through the hoop and the vast majority of it has been positive,” said the commissioner. “We have many fine athletes in our sport, which I believe that stuff shot illustrated.”
Other instances of jams were uploaded to social media sites tonight, as well.
“People really enjoy dunk shots,” said Silver. “The slam jam is here to stay. Stuff shots are the shot of 2018!”
