(SP) – LeBron James met with Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert early this morning to demand that he be traded to the Boston Celtics, insisting that he will not report to the Cavaliers if he is not dealt.
The Cavaliers traded Kyrie Irving to the Celtics on Tuesday in exchange for Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and an unprotected 2018 first-round pick, and now will have to figure out a new package to send James to Boston, as well.
“I love the return for Kyrie,” James said. “I think the Cavs got better adding Thomas and Crowder, Zizic has potential and that Nets pick could be really good. That said, I don’t want Kyrie to think he’s won by getting out of there. F–k him. I will follow him for the rest of his days. I will ruin him.”
James said he knows Irving thinks he is now in a position in Boston to show the world that he can win by himself.
“That’s not going to happen,” says James. “He had a few hours to believe he got what he wanted, but that’s over. I’m coming to Boston and I’m going to run his new team, too. It’s going to crush his hopes and dreams and I can’t wait. This is what he gets for mocking me at that wedding with Steph Curry. I hope he wants to jump off the edge of the flat earth now, the dumbass.”
And if Irving requests a trade from Boston to get away from James again? LeBron says he’ll follow him to the next city, too.
“I’m the best player in the world, so teams will always add me,” said James. “He can’t get away from me. Except if he goes to the Knicks. I won’t go there. My vengeance has its standards.”
